Communitas is fully commited to the ethical, and safe use
of any data collected from its users. We have developed these
guidelines to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy
and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. We also
agree to comply with the Direct Marketing Authoritys Code of Practice,
and agrre to be bound by their decision in the case of a complaint. We
stay abreast of information provided by the Informations Commissioner
and may change these guidelines from time to time to stay current. We
will publish these updated guidelines on this webpage without notice.
When you supply any personal information to Communitas we
have legal obligations towards you in the way we use that data. We must
collect the information fairly, that is, we must explain how we will
use it and tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone
else.
In general, any information you provide to Communitas will
only be used within Communitas and by its agents and service providers.
Your information will be disclosed where we are obliged or permitted by
law. Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or
objectionable content anywhere on or to communitas.eu.com or otherwise
engage in any disruptive behaviour on communitas.eu.com, Communitas can
use whatever information is available to it about you to stop such
behaviour.
We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal
information Communitas holds about you and to have any inaccuracies
corrected. (We charge £10 for information requests.) Please
address requests to the Data Protection Officer.
